Many clients are given the news that they must "change" in order to live healthier, but many leave the doctors office feeling unheard, unsupported, and confused about how to actually get better. 

What if I told you that as a nurse, I completely understand why this happens to millions of people? To be blunt, healthcare has gotten so complex, so busy and so expensive, that the main goal is to keep you alive! Not necessarily happy, healthy, or thriving on your own terms, but just, alive. When initially diagnosed or given a summary of health, many of my clients complain that all they got was a handout about their diagnosis, a new prescription, and very generic instructions about how to "manage" their illness. No follow up, no one asking all the right questions to discover areas of their life that make it hard (or easy) to get better, and certainly no customized education and explanation of treatment options. 

As a Registered Nurse, I integrate my nursing practice along with coaching and consulting strategies in order to help my clients design health and wellness plans that are enjoyable and achievable. As a licensed healthcare professional, it is within my scope of practice to educate my clients on many health topics, including disease management, health promotion, and lifestyle changes that can lead to a healthier life. As a health and wellness coach, it is my duty to guide you along the process of your health and wellness journey, as well identify factors that may be keeping you from reaching your goals. Unfortunately, the health and wellness coaching industry remains unregulated (no license or certifications required) and anyone can claim they are a health and wellness expert. Having a health and wellness coach who is a licensed medical professional is not only reassuring, but in your best interest. 

As a Nurse I will help you:

  • Explore your options for health promotion and prevention

  • Understand your medical condition(s), treatment options, and healthcare services

  • Identify and prioritize health and wellness goals

  • Explore mindset and behaviors that can help you achieve your goals, as well as nixing bad habits and thoughts that may sabotage your efforts

  • Create a vision of your life centered in health and wellness

  • Develop action plans and strategies to achieve your health and wellness goals

  • Stay accountable and on track when life wants to play hardball
